Please everyone--be patient as our newly government works to repair the financial situation. This is new ground we are treading and no one know for sure exactly what will work. We do know it will require the cooperation of all. If what you want to say will not build everyone then don't say it Today it is like we have a clean slate (but for our debt!) and we want the resulting picture to be perfect. The will be mistakes we will have to backup and erase but we will finish the agenda; no matter how long it takes. YES WE CAN!!!!

"Although I agree with you about the substance of your message, I disagree with the starting sentence.
Getting down to business - especially big business and special interests - was the norm of the previous administartion. Obama has more experience as a community organizer and he certainly wants to bring his experience to the White house. I thing that "Now we can get down to people" would be more appropriate.
Especially after the Katrina hurricane, the thousands of dead soldiers in the Iraq war and the million of Iraqi dead that shall cause a sour relation between the U.S.A. and the Arab world for the next generation.
If the administartion takes care of the people, the people shall take care of business and make it thrive again. Do not forget that the government is not supposed to mingle too much with business in a capitalist society, something that the last administration blissfully ignored, messing with big oil and arms interests and making a war just for oil (with a lot of lies and silly excuses) to the point that people started talking about the "Socialist republic of Wall Street" after the last bailouts..." I agree wholeheartedly with your statement. Watching President Obama this morning you can clearly understand the government, under his administration, will be for the people. We will have an open, honest administration--what a breath of fresh air indeed. I am so proud of our country today and though we have a long hard road ahead I am full so much optimism or our future. I have an idea to help jump start the economy. We gave millions to the banks; how about forgiving $15,000 of everyone's credit card debt so they can put the monthly payment money back into the retail economy!!!!

" Well, he's got to put back something together (maybe not the original version of the constitution, but a little bit evolved version, I guess) and he's got to stick at upholding the law and not violating it at will like Cheney did until now or Nixon much earlier. (I won't mention the shrub because I doubt if he ever realized the importance of his position or the gravity of the situation. He was more of a kid left palying with a big fire). Everything broke down when the highest authority broke down the law, and everything should be pulled back into place by a newfound respect for the law by the highest echelons of power, or else the U.S.A. is doomed...

Obama's taking aim at those pesky Executive Orders Bush liked to issue. What would you like to see rescinded and why?

A press release from the Obama team indicates that one of his first orders of business will be to close the prison at Guantanamo and proceed with trials for the individuals detained there. Is this a mistake, the only thing that will redeem us in the eyes of the world, or the greatest thing since sliced bread? Weigh in here!

All right, there's talk of puppies. Pound puppies, hypo-allergenic puppies, even hairless Peruvian puppies! What sort of puppy do you prefer?

"All right, there's talk of puppies. Pound puppies, hypo-allergenic puppies, even hairless Peruvian puppies! What sort of puppy do you prefer?" I'm sensing a discontent here. It is quite obvious that there is not much to say in here until January 20 about Obamas' presidency, while those pesky Balkaners (like myself!) have taken over the discussion page, and the the Middle Easterners are encroaching this space as well. Relax. There are more important issues to discuss, and it shall be in the right time. For the moment, you'll have to suffer a lot of nonsense...
