I born and grow in Macedonia! There where since my birth 1986 we sing the Macedonian anthem in school "Famous Macedonia". There where the statue of Alexander the Great show me the way to respect my historical heritage. There where we all LOVE MACEDONIA. We speak and write in Macedonian language, the Greek. There where the coat of arms include into the Greek flag the only one and original Macedonian symbol. There where we call Macedonia since 4,000 years ago... There where the first Greek Emperor born and spread the Greek culture to all the known world! We are Macedonians, Greeks, Europeans. Might are you Bavarian, German, European? Might are you English, British, European? Might are you Flemmish, Belgian, European? Might are you Californian, USA, American? Might are you Catalan, Spanish, European? Sep 16 2008, 8:19 AM EDT Maye you should first look at your history say 1800 to today, ask your parents where your Grandparents & Great Grandparents came from, ask them if they always spoke Greek? you use Greek Prime Minister Kostas Karamanlis as your example if you are the same as him & if the 2.5 million Greeks are the same as him then Alexander the Great must have come from Asia Minor! yes you are Macedonian from the Greek province Macedonia but you are not & never will be a descendant of Alexander the Great. Maybe one day they will find old papyrus written by Alexander, I think that when they find his Grave they will also find ancient writings about him & his ruling history, then we will see what he really was. Alexander the Great fought for Alexander & the Macedonians cause, He ruled Greece by conquest. The Greek King George called the Newly won land in 1913 as "The New Region" he admitted that there were few Greeks on this land. Greece then calls that region "Northern Greece" until 1988 & then Macedonia! Just look in any old Greek Atlas. And it is literally an ocupation because the macedonians who were living there were ethnicaly cleansed after the second world war and their houses were given to greek minorities from Turkey who were inhabited in someone elses house.
