McCain is ahead
Sep 8 2008, 1:28 PM EDT | Post edited: Sep 8 2008, 1:28 PM EDT
I am listening to lie after lie after lie from Republicans; McCain is ahead today for the first time, and I am sick to my stomache. The Barrack camp had better put some gloves on or I am truly done with it this time. 1  out of 2 found this valuable. Do you?

It's not that bad. Read this, and it will explain a bit more.

I think that's the kind of mentality that can hurt Barack's campaign. We are the ones that are supposed to be supporting him, not giving up on him just because he's down. 1  out of 2 found this valuable. Do you?

Why not do a town hall -like event or two on the condition that both candidates on each ticket participate and alternate answering questions at random. Huge crowds, America watching on TV, Palin can't attack in person without being seen as overly aggressive, she will embarass herself by revealing her lack of knowledge and ability to handle complex problems, McCain will look horribly uncomfortable with her answers and try to micromanage. Plus, the McCain camp would almost certainly decline under those conditions because they know all of this. Then the press gets to run with their declining something they have been asking for. She will look like a kid at the adults table during thanksgiving dinner...no direct attacks required. 1  out of 2 found this valuable. Do you?

Well I'd have to say that after yesterday's palin interview, and especially watching David Letterman I am reminded of why this man had ignited a long, overdue spark of hope in me. Also, knowing that he "lunched" with Bill Clinton and that the Clintons plan on "hitting the stump" makes me feel better. I have to remember that the expertise negativity spewed by the opponents is aimed to discourage me as much as it is to intitialize the masses of uneducated, gun-toting yahoos out there...Seeing those 2 candidates walking side by side was a revelation in itself...McCain trudging along like a scrunched up and grumpy grench in stark comparison with the slinky forward gait of Barrack....Interesting visual. 0  out of 2 found this valuable. I've also just recently learned that McCain isn't necessarily "ahead". Many of the sources that are indicating McCain is ahead have been receiving biased information. Apparently some of the polls have been directly polling more identified Republicans than Democrats, which would make it appear as though McCain is ahead. 0  out of 2 found this valuable. Do you?
