HLA genes in Macedonians and the sub-Saharan origin of the Greeks.

HLA-A, -B, -DR, -DQ allele frequencies and extended haplotypes have been for the first time determined and the results compared to those of other Mediterraneans, particularly with their neighbouring Greeks. Genetic distances, neighbor-joining dendrograms and correspondence analysis have been performed. The following conclusions have been reached: 1) Macedonians belong to the "older" Mediterranean substratum, like Iberians (including Basques), North Africans, Italians, French, Cretans, Jews, Lebanese, Turks (Anatolians), Armenians and Iranians, 2) Macedonians are not related with geographically close Greeks, who do not belong to the "older" Mediterranenan substratum, 3) Greeks are found to have a substantial relatedness to sub-Saharan (Ethiopian) people, which separate them from other Mediterranean groups. Both Greeks and Ethiopians share quasi-specific DRB1 alleles, such as *0305, *0307, *0411, *0413, *0416, *0417, *0420, *1110, *1112, *1304 and *1310. Genetic distances are closer between Greeks and Ethiopian/sub-Saharan groups than to any other Mediterranean group and finally Greeks cluster with Ethiopians/sub-Saharans in both neighbour joining dendrograms and correspondence analyses. The word BARBARIAN means somebody who speaks with foreign language, and ALIEN means somebody from outside. These are Greek words used to refer to Macedonians. So Macedonians are not Greeks, but they were Barbarians and Aliens... 0 out of 3 found this valuable. Do you? |

Macedonians are Dorians Encyclopedia Britannica Dorians any member of a major division of the ancient Greek people, distinguished by a well-marked dialect and by their subdivision, within all their communities, into the "tribes" (phylai) of Hylleis, Pamphyloi, and Dymanes.The Dorian people are traditionally acknowledged as the conquerors of the Peloponnese (in the period 1100--1000 bc). In reality, if you want to compare ancient populations with modern ones you need a sizeable number of ancient sceletons from a region, who were of a certain ethic origin (difficult to establish), then extract DNA samples from them (practically impossible) and compare it with a DNA sample of modern humans. Very few people in the world have given DNA samples (about a hundred for each group of the study that you mention) out of millions, and only a small portion of this DNA was used for comparison. No Ancient DNA was used for establishing relation with Ancient people and hell, the study came to such weird conclusions as a close relation between Japanese and Sub-Saharan Africans as well. Honestly, we don't care if you think of us as Sub-Saharans. On the contrary, we would like to emphasize that we have large dicks, larger than the one of Barack Obama, and thus you should make sure to wear iron pants whenever you travel through Greece... These are Greek words used to refer to Macedonians.Well, George Bushes' Texan dialect was understood only by a 30% of his fellow U.S.Americans, thus, technically, he is a barbarian for the 70% of the U.S.A. Only a linguist can determine which language is what, not an idiot like you. Herodotus, in his honor, described the Pelasgians as people who speak a language that does not sound Greek to his ears. He failed to mention anything similar about the Macedonians, although he has close contacts with the Ancient Macedonian court. I wonder why... Do you find this valuable? |
