I read this book first. It is very insightful. I like many of the ideas presented in the book as it relates to race and the individual. I did not grow up aware of race because everyone just about in my city is the same race, so if there were any misconceptions, misunderstandings it had to do with me as a person not me as an African-American. I never thought much about what others thought of race because we were insulated from that ugliness as children. Do you find this valuable?
