Now we can get down to business!!

Please everyone--be patient as our newly government works to repair the financial situation. This is new ground we are treading and no one know for sure exactly what will work. We do know it will require the cooperation of all. If what you want to say will not build everyone then don't say it Today it is like we have a clean slate (but for our debt!) and we want the resulting picture to be perfect. The will be mistakes we will have to backup and erase but we will finish the agenda; no matter how long it takes. YES WE CAN!!!! Do you find this valuable?

Although I agree with you about the substance of your message, I disagree with the starting sentence.

Getting down to business - especially big business and special interests - was the norm of the previous administartion. Obama has more experience as a community organizer and he certainly wants to bring his experience to the White house. I thing that "Now we can get down to people" would be more appropriate.

Especially after the Katrina hurricane, the thousands of dead soldiers in the Iraq war and the million of Iraqi dead that shall cause a sour relation between the U.S.A. and the Arab world for the next generation.

If the administartion takes care of the people, the people shall take care of business and make it thrive again. Do not forget that the government is not supposed to mingle too much with business in a capitalist society, something that the last administration blissfully ignored, messing with big oil and arms interests and making a war just for oil (with a lot of lies and silly excuses) to the point that people started talking about the "Socialist republic of Wall Street" after the last bailouts...

I agree wholeheartedly with your statement. Watching President Obama this morning you can clearly understand the government, under his administration, will be for the people. We will have an open, honest administration--what a breath of fresh air indeed. I am so proud of our country today and though we have a long hard road ahead I am full so much optimism or our future.

I have an idea to help jump start the economy. We gave millions to the banks; how about forgiving $15,000 of everyone's credit card debt so they can put the monthly payment money back into the retail economy!!!!
