Obama for president, 2008

If the outcome of the Iraq invasion and occupation was not so tragic, it would be sufficient to dismiss as a joke, the thought that all members of congress who voted to authorize the military adventure into Iraq were deceived by the Bush gang.

Clearly, all those who voted for the war including Clinton, Biden, Edward and Dodd knew exactly what they were doing. They simply took a calculated political risk which has turned out to be a total disaster.

All the candidates who are now prostrating at the altar of empty regrets should be held accountable for the errors of their ways. They should not be rewarded for their lack of vision and leadership at the critical moment when supreme judgment and courage were the most valued attributes.

Obama is the man for president. After all, what he saw sitting down in the valley, others couldn’t see standing atop the highest hill. What other test of leadership can there be other than the ability to make sound decisions using instinctive judgment in the face of uncertainty.

All the candidates who cast the fateful yes to war vote should be kept away from the presidency. Why should they be trusted to lead now?

A strong case can be made for Obama to be president. He has demonstrated remarkable presidential qualities such as having a strong vision, superior intellect, political savvy, courage and being a great inspiration.

Add to all that, a successful career, uncluttered personal life and a great charisma, you have a great leader, who is a cut above the others.

These stellar qualities far out weigh the collective experience of all the other candidates. If their so called experience truly mattered, why are we in such a mess today? Let's not be distracted.

Please, not another word about being deceived by George Bush. Its time to drop the self serving talk and make way for Obama, the next president of the United States of America.
